The Digital Media Education Centre
is part of the Devon Learning and Development Partnership.
The centre opened in 1997 and, for eight years, worked in
partnership with Exeter’s Picture House cinema, linking
media education with the cinema-going experience. In 2008
we moved to new premises in Sowton, Exeter where we continue
to provide a range of services which use digital technology
to release the creativity of teachers and pupils alike.
Our activities include:
- Pupil enrichment workshops.
- Staff development and training.
We work in schools and can customise a session (a half
day, a day or a twilight session) to suit your
school’s
requirements. We can bring laptops, digital camcorders
and digital cameras with us. Please contact tim.arnold@devon.gov.uk
to discuss.
- Videoconferencing.
- Digital video and audio production
- Educational screenings of feature films at the Exeter
Picture House
