Professional Development and Training

All dMEC staff are experienced trainers who have worked successfully in Devon Education Services (DES), the LEA advisory branch, in a range of contexts.

In addition to the programme of Professional Development courses listed in the LDP Directory and on our website, we are happy to discuss with individual teachers their needs and to design appropriate training.

 

GCSE roadshow

This popular training event has been running annually throughout the autumn term in a range of venues across the country for the past 7 years. It focuses on innovative ways of approaching English teaching and provides a variety of classroom resources to support teachers in their work.

With nearly 300 teachers attending the 2007 courses, the evaluations showed 75% of delegates rating the course Very Good, 24.6% rating it Good and 0.4% rating it Satisfactory.
