Boys Literacy: Reviewing Pop Videos

The Torbay Boys Literacy project was a collaborative venture between Paignton Community College, Torquay Community College, Torquay Boys Grammar School, Torbay LEA KS3 English team and the Digital Media Education Centre.

Methodology

A group of 30 boys - 10 from each participating school - attended a day long seminar taught by Martin Phillips at the digital Media Education Centre.

The students then returned to their schools and drafted reviews for use as coursework writing for GCSE English.
